BBC film crews have been spotted filming in Mablethorpe on the Lincolnshire coast. Whilst the filming for TV has been kept a secret we have been informed that the town is set to hit our screens later this year!

New Mablethorpe In Bloom committee chair Sue Sheekey has said that she hopes it will help get Mablethorpe back on the map. Sue said: “I’m very excited to say that film crews from the BBC have been filming in the area recently after not long finding out ourselves they were coming, and the town is set to be shown on TV later on this year. “It would be a great boost for the town and the tourism trade as well as In Bloom.” Sue added that the In Bloom committee are working really hard towards this year’s East Midlands In Bloom competition as they push for to gain the gold. “It’s great to see that Mablethorpe Primary Academy are getting involved with In Bloom this year for the first time,” Sue added.
